The Chiropractic Philanthropist with Dr. Kelly Polzin

Dr. Chewpa was born and raised in Ottawa and did his undergraduate studies in Kinesiology at the University of Waterloo. An avid hockey player, Dr. Yurij was injured while playing in a varsity game with the Waterloo Warriors. The team chiropractor saw him and had him back on the ice quickly and stronger than ever. Even though Yurij’s academic interests were in human science and health care, he had never considered Chiropractic as a career. After this experience he realized that Chiropractic was the right choice for him.

Dr. Chewpa graduated cum laude from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto in 1986 and moved back to Ottawa to start a practice while also completing a 3 year post graduate specialty program in Sports Sciences. In 1990, he received his fellowship designation from the College of Chiropractic Sports Sciences (F.C.C.S.S. (c)).

Dr. Yurij’s practice philosophy focuses on changing the world by inspiring patients of all ages, who are sick and have lost hope, to achieve optimal health through structural, functional and wellness family chiropractic care. His patients include everyone from new born babies to seniors, athletes and non-athletes who want to be healthy, more active, live longer and be more fully alive.

In 2000, Dr. Chewpa co-founded Warrior Coaching with his partner Dr. Ed Quirk. Warrior is an intense leadership training and life coaching program designed to help Doctors of Chiropractic achieve success in all areas of their lives. With over 130 clinics across Canada and now in the U.S., Warrior Coaching has become the nation’s leading coaching program for chiropractors.
